Cow Patty Towers
Cow dung is used as fuel for cooking in rural parts of India, and among the underprivileged in other parts of the country. On this farmstead, the cow patties have been dried and stored in a corner, stacked into little towers. The drying stage removes all traces of unpleasant smell. As and when the need arises, 'bricks' from the towers are removed and burned. |

We were at a railway station in India in the early hours of the morning. Suddenly, these deep growls sounded and we thought it must be a wild animal like a big cat.
It turns out it was this bull. On the other side of the tracks was another bull and this deep growling was a warningt o him to stay away. Amazing! I never knew bulls did this. |
I was taking a video of a cute calf blissfully resting in the middle of the road when the crowd around the snake charmer caught my attention. He had a cobra and some sort of whiskered snake...
